Webinar Launch

The Neumann Kaffee Gruppe Partnership to Advance Coffee Equity (NKG PACE) was created in close collaboration by Neumann Gruppe USA (NGUS) — which includes Atlas Coffee Importers, InterAmerican Coffee and Rothfos Corporation — and the Coffee Coalition for Racial Equity (CCRE). The program officially launched June 14, 2021, and on June 17, the CCRE hosted a webinar to offer further explanation to the press, the coffee community and potential applicants.

Where does the program take place? What’s it about? Who’s it for? Who runs it? What will be the result? Who’s it open to? Why was it created? How many people are accepted into the program? How long does it run? Does it pay? Where do I apply? All of these questions and others were answered during the webinar.

The webinar features David M. Neumann, CEO of Neumann Kaffee Gruppe, the world’s leading green coffee services group; Phillis Johnson, founder of the CCRE and co-founder of coffee importer BD Imports; and Michelle Maisto, head of Marketing at NGUS and the program coordinator of NKG PACE. The discussion was moderated by Michelle R. Johnson, founder of The Chocolate Barista and the first Black woman to compete at the U.S. Barista Championship.
